Mimicry has been Shanky's passion since childhood. The skill was recognized by his parents at a very early age of 5 when he would mimic, not only movie stars but other friends, relatives and neighbors. His first acting on stage was kamal haasan as chappani in "16 vayathinilae" when he was 8. This was followed by several other school programs where a mimicry show by Shanky became a must. Then in his college days, it continued in the form of compering programs, light music concerts in inter college events combined with mimicry of over 30 actors powered with humorous skits written and performed by him.
He had performed a couple of programs in Rani Seethai Hall as part of Crazy Mohan's drama shows. Shanky had also performed several programs in Tamilnadu, Saudi and in the US. With changing faces in tamil cinema, he makes a constant attempt to imbibe to newer slangs and voices.
